I finally had time to go through some of my notes from the Hamilton Regional so I thought I would share some of the things I can’t wait to try. I don’t know the names of all the presenters. Hopefully SU will have them listed somewhere.
Heather Summers did some really cute scrapbooks that were a variation of Felicity's Star Card . She made the pieces 8x8 instead of 4x4. Her samples were adorable.
One of the Wow presentations was gluing shapes to your background card stock and embossing it with an embossing folder.
One presenter demoed water coloring. She purposely ran a big smudge off the side and showed us how to correct it. She kept going over it with her aqua painter and dabbing at the spot with a Kleenex until you couldn’t tell it was there. Even Shelli was wowed by that one.
One presenter showed stamping on paint chips. Her samples were gorgeous. Hopefully she’ll post them on SC.
I think it might have been one of her samples that used the dotted scallop border punch with a slit cut between every other set of dots and ribbon woven through.
One presenter showed these cool fan cards. She used 5 shapes all the same and put a dimensional on the top left back and top front right of each shape. She put a brad in the bottom so when you pull the top shape they all fan out and the dimensionals act as stoppers.
The theme of my workshop wow was getting more from your punches. I posted, samples, instruction sheets and some videos of the projects I presented.
