This is my favorite projects so far made with Stampin' Up's new Table Setting die. Cut out the napkin ring, score it just below the bumps, fold, tie a ribbon around the whole thing and you have yourself a quick and easy gift card holder. I attached a gold cord to this one using the thingy?? from the die so my gift card could be hung in a tree. On the back I cut out an ivory tag and stamped a sentiment.
This was one of the swaps I made for Regionals. I modified it from this gift card purse I made a while ago. The Big Shot made it so much easier. I cut out a large scallop circle as shown in the photo below. Since I didn't need the whole scallop I was able to cut 4 out of one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock. Score it 1" from the flat edge and punch to holes in it for the handle. I bent wire and attached it using brads but ribbon also works. The base is 4 1/4" x 8 1/2". Score at 3 1/2" and 5". Fold it up to form your purse bottom and attach the scallop to the back for your flap. Add an embellishment and use a small piece of velcro to hold your purse closed.
This is my first attempt at a shaker card. It's difficult to see but there are clear micro beads in the letters . Since this is a scanned photo the beads aren't at the bottom. Shaker letters are easy to make with the Serif Essentials Alpha and the Big Shot.
1. Cover some craft foam on both sides with carpet tape and cut out letters.
2. Peal the backing and stick the letters down.
3. Pour in your beads.
4. Cut a piece of acetate large enough to cover the hole with the beads. Centre it on your letter and stick it down.
5. Cut another set of letters from cardstock or designer series paper and stick on top. Finish embellishing your card and you're done.
I made this giftcard holder from a very vanilla SU envelope and some designer series paper. I also used some hemp, the star punches, word window punch, mat pack, Night of Navy ink pad, marker and sponges.
I sponged colour on the envelope first then punched the shapes through both layers. Insert a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" piece of DPS or card stock. Put a little bit of glue or snail beside the area where your gift card will go to keep everything from shifting around. Seal your envelope. Your shapes show on the back as well so you can decorate it with "hand stamped" or " to and from".
When I saw the punch class on the SU website the reindeer tag reminded me of the wooden singing reindeer I used to make. The sizzlets swirl die is perfect for the antlers. I used 2 circle punches for the body and the small oval for the neck and mouth. He looks a little odd without his song book.
