I joined an ATC (artist trading card) swap so I've been working on my samples. The ATC's look so lost without a card to go with them so I made a sample for myself and used it on a full size card. Here's my first one. It is for the embossing category. I did some dry embossing around the edge of the white layer with my diagonal score plate. I embossed the background with an embossing folder and I embossed my words with clear embossing powder then sponged colour on top.

Donna Griffith showed us how to make these adorable envelopes using the Diagonal Score Plate and Designer Series Paper. I tried several different sizes and thought I'd put them all in a document for easy reference. I have the measurements for 28 different size envelopes that you can

Birdhouse Card

This would be a great card for a Fun Folds class. It's made using the Diagonal Score Plate and some punches. The card base is 11" x 3-3/4" and the fold is scored at 1-7/8". The roof is a 3" square cut in half on the diagonal. If you'd like more details scroll down for the video tutorial

Diagonal Plate Card Box

Here's a project using the new Simply Scored Diagonal Scoring Plate (shown in my last post). I won a diagonal scoring plate at leadership so I've had a little bit of time to play with it. I'm hoping to have time to post a few more projects this week. Here's an Envelope Style Card Box I made using the Diagonal Score Plate.

 

Simply Scored Diagonal Plate

Demonstrators can preorder the new Diagonal Plate for the Simply Scored Scoring Tool starting today. If you're not a Stampin' Up demonstrator you can order yours on March 1st. I won the diagonal scoring plate at leadership so I've had some time to play with it. I'll be posting some projects this week but for now check it out on this Stampin' Up video.....

FYI I've had a few people ask if the diagonal score plate will work with other scoring tools. I tried it on my old scor-pal and it doesn't fit. The plate is 12-1/2" square and the scor-pal is 12x12 with a lip on 3 sides. It looks like it might work with the Martha Stewart Scoring Tool but I can't confirm that.
