I love these water lillies but it took me forever to come up with a suitable background. I think I tried them on all 48 colours before I decided on a stamped background using Circle circus and Old Olive on Very Vanilla cardstock.
The lillies are punched from velum cs and lightly sponged with Melon Mambo.

Is anyone else addicted to sponging? I can't seem to stop. Even the smallest pieces look like they need a little spongin'.

This is one of my favorite dies. If you bend the the petals up with your fingers it almost looks real.
For the background I inked up 1/2 of the texture plate with Kiwi Kiss then sponged the pink on later.
