I love the new shimmer paint SU sells. I put some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint in an uninked cartridge so I could use it with my wheels. To ink up the cartridge I poured a small amount of paint on the wheel and spread it out with the tip of my bone folder. I kept turning the wheel and repeating the process until the whole cartridge was inked.
I inked another cartridge with frost white to use with my snowflake wheel. That one is very pretty as well.
Since this is paint and not ink as soon as I'm finished stamping I store the cartridge in a plastic ziploc bag to keep it from drying out. If I get tired of my shimmer cartridges I plan to wash them out and reuse them.
I would never have thought to do this! Pretty clever!

I've used the platinum shimmer with a sponge dauber to ink a wheel. This works fine - just a little time consuming, but I didn't have an empty cartridge. The platinum is opaque, not the transparent shimmer, and it looked lots better than rolling on the silver ink pad.
