My brain still isn’t firing on all cylinders but I (and my luggage) made it back from convention in one piece. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got home. We sold our house and business which was supposed to close on Friday while I was at convention so I had to get everything packed and out before I left. The buyer bailed out on us two days before the closing date. Hubby didn’t tell me until I got home so it wouldn’t ruin my trip. So now instead of enjoying my convention spoils I’m spending the week moving some of our stuff back in. I’m not a violent person but if I happen to run into the buyer again, I might just pull his testicles out through his nostrils.
Well at least I did get to enjoy convention and I won the new stocking punch and stamp set from prize patrol so that should help ease the guilt of leaving my family behind in an empty house for 5 days. I made lots of new friends. One was my roommate Rita Wright who I met for the first time at convention (Thank you Rita for not turning out to be a weirdo!!!)
Actually Rita was very sweet and look what she made for me...
I got a ton of compliments on my bracelet. she used 18 of the Regals buttons and attached them to one of our simply adorned bracelets with different sized jump rings.
She also made me this cute tag for my convention bag. You can check out some of her other creations on her blog Cards by Rita
How cute is that bracelet! Boy you lucked out on a roomie -- if not the buyer -- weird set of circumstances that! I bet there's an interesting back story -- or we could make one up! (e.g., he -- I know it's a he because of the nostrils comment -- had to leave town because he's in witness protection; because his wife found out he's really a serial killer and the gig's up; Farmer McGregor chased him out of the garden.... wait, I may be mixing my metaphors here.... Off to check out Rita's blog!

I am so glad that didn't think I was a weirdo! :) That sucks about the house, but very sweet of your husband not to ruin your trip with the bad news. Hopefully a more committed buyer will show up soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
