Another card entry for the 2011 Artisan Award Contest. It's hard to tell in the photo but the door is set back about 1/4" from the front of the card. I did a double score line to fold the card so it would close flat. I stamped several layers of the door image and cut out the individual parts I wanted to stand out then lined them up over the background image using dimensionals.
To make the bow, I made three loops and tied the loops together with a length of ribbon. To attach bows to cards I lay the bow on a piece of big shot adhesive, peel it off and stick it on my project. Since this makes the whole back of the bow sticky I'm able to position my bow exactly how I want it. Even the tails stay where I put them. I do almost all of my bows this way now.
Stamps: Home for Christmas, Elements of Style
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Early Espresso,
Very Vanilla
Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds, Rhinestones,
Real Red Satin Ribbon, Decorative Label Punch,
Northern Frost Decorative Strip,
Northern Flurry Embossing Folder
