You're in Trouble

Whenever I start working on a new punch art class I like going through my old cards and samples that didn't make the cut. Right after I made this card some of the punches I used retired so I never posted it. One of my favorites was the slit punch that I used for the dog's mouth. I'm still holding out hope that Stampin' Up will come up with something similar.

 

Here are some of the other punches I used: Hair; scalloped oval, glasses; scalloped border, arms; heart to heart, skirt; scalloped circle & xlarge oval, Dog; small and large ovals, circle punches and heart to heart. I can't remember the name of the flower punch and I think the stems were the Bird Builder with a few leaves trimmed off.

Shaker Frame Engagement

This is one of the cards I was playing around with for my Shaker Frame Class.  I sprinkled one of the shaker frames with gold embossing powder and heat embossed it.  The foam gets soft when it's hot so don't touch it until it cools off again. Sometimes heat will disrtoy the adhesive so I stuck the frame in place before I embossed it.

Punch Art Sheep

One of my staff who has a good sense of humor asked if I could design a birthday card for her father. Her father has a hobby farm where he raises some sheep so this is what we came up with. I made a Punch Art Confetti Flinger for the inside of the card and filled it with punch art sheep poop.

Gerry's Swap Card

This card was made by Gerry using the new Secret Garden stamp set and matching Framelits. I didn't take a photo of the card when it's open but she wove strips of DSP through slices in the card so the DSP is visible from both sides.

Wilma's Swap Card

Here's another card I received at our technique swap. This one was made by Wilma. She said credit goes to credit goes to Sandi MacIver. I love the colors and she did a beautiful job on the background.

Ilse's Chalkboard Swap

This swap card features the chalkboard technique. There are several ways you can do this technique. Ilse used Stampin' Up's White Craft Ink and a sponge dauber. You probably already have something on hand that can be used to draw the lines around the edges, such as a piece of white chalk; turn it on the edge or sharpen the chalk to a point in a pencil or crayon sharpener. A white crayon or pencil crayon works too (I raided my kids' crayola boxes ages ago).

Punch Art Arrows

Need some arrows for those last minute Valentines? Use your Extra Large Tag Punch to make arrows from your 1/2" strips of scrap paper. Use the edge of the punch for the shaft and the corner of the punch for the point and tail. If you need a visual scroll down for the 2 minute video.
