Spring Flowers

If you're like me and don't like the thought of throwing out your scraps of DSP here's a simple punch art card to use up some of those scraps. This DSP (LOVE IT) is from Stampin' Up's Designer Series Paper Stack Brights Collection.

 

For the leaves and flowers I used the Blossoms Petals Builder Punch. I hope that punch never retires. I think Shelli said at convention last year that the Build a Blossom stamp set was their top seller. I used it for my Build a Blossom Punch Art Class and for a ton of other cards to make everything from gnomes to Big Bird. OK enough gushing about my favorite punch here's how I made this card.

Cut a 2" x 4" scrap of green DSP and tear along the top. Punch out the leaves and petals. For the centre punch the largest petal, hold onto the pointy tip and use the rounded side of one of the petals to snip off the bumps.
