Addicted to Stamping

Hello Lovely Bracelet

This is another one of the 3D projects I made for the display boards at Convention. I stamped the square image from the Hello Lovely stamp set onto a clear window sheet using Versamark ink. I embossed the images with Pewter embossing powder, cut around them with scissors, punched a hole at the top of each square and attached them to the bracelet using jump rings. Once the images are embossed it's hard to tell the front from the back so I stuck a rhinestone to the centre of both sides in case they flipped around.You can purchase the jump rings and bracelet at Walmart or Michaels in the bead isle and the rest of the products from your Stampin' Up demonstrator.

Stamping on Fabric

I was never a fan of stamping on fabric. The colors always looked washed out plus you don't have a nice smooth surface to stamp on. So here's my solution...I make t-shirt transfers using Versamark, Embossing Powder and some computer paper. Stamp your image in Versamark Ink on computer paper, sprinkle with embossing powder and heat emboss it. Trim around the image with scissors, place it face down on your fabric and iron. So easy even kids can do it. The embossing powder melts into the fabric, the colors are way more intense then stamping directly with ink plus it's washable and permanent.

Here's a sample using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.   Note: This method produces a mirror image of your stamp so it isn't suitable for words. The letters for this project were stamped directly onto green fabric that was backed with fabric adhesive, cut out by hand and ironed onto the onsie.

Tags 4 You

Here's a set of cards I made using Stampin' Up's Tags 4 You stamp set the coordinating Label Bracket Punch and the new Chevron border punch. For the spider I used the Extra-Large Oval for the body, the 1/2" Circle punch for the eyes and the Itty Bitty punch circle for the pupils and nose. The legs are made with the Chevron punch

The strips on the Thanksgiving and Heart sample are cut 1-1/4" wide. For the lace edge on the Heart sample I used the outside strips of the Delicate Doilies Lace Tape.

Envelope Punch Board Gift Card Holder

I had a chance to play with some of my new goodies. I think one of my new favorite toys is going to be the envelope punch board. I made these gift card holders using the envelope punch board. When the card opens the gift card lifts out of the pocket.  Scroll down for the video tutorial  

Hello Lovely

Here are some samples using the Hello Lovely stamp set. I used a ruler to line up the images for the first card. I stamped the squares first then went back and filled in the spaces with the other shape.

Tag It Samples

Here are a couple of samples I made using the Tag It stamp set. For the flower I stamped the base of the shovel several times then cut them out by hand. I added crystal effects to make the petals shine.

Gorgeous Grunge

I have to admit, this wasn't one of those stamp sets that I looked at and fell in love with but it's really been growing on me. Who knew blobs and stripes could be so versatile. On the scrapbook page I used the stamp with the thin lines for my journaling block. It gave me nice straight lines to write on without being overpowering.

The card was quick and easy. It would be a simple card to make for a workshop or stamp-a-stack just make sure you have your stampin' scrub handy.

I'm Back

I'm not running any races (or stamping) yet but I am home from the hospital and feeling much better. Thank you for all the well wishes. Several people asked me for my address, it's PO Box 3 Wainfleet, ON Canada, L0S 1V0.

Although I'm not feeling up to stamping yet I do have several projects to share. They were the ones I submitted for the display boards at convention using the Gorgeous Grunge, Hello Lovely and Tag It Stamp Sets. The Suite that was selected for me was Eastern Elegance so I also have some projects to show you using the products from that suite as well.

For this card I stamped one of the square designs from Hello Lovely on 1" sqaures, attached them to a 5" square of Whisper White and embossed it with the lattice embossing folder. I used a needle and white baker's twine to make the ties then attached it to a 6" square card base. To make the tag I stamped one image onto Whisper White and the other onto Pink Pirouette and embossed both images with Pewter EP. I punched out the pink image with the Decorative Label Punch and slopily cut throught the lines on the Whisper White image. I lined up the White image on top of the Pink Pirouette image then sponged some Pink Pirouette ink around the edges of the white to blend it into the background. You can just stamp a single label but I like the look of the coloured edge and unless you look really close you can't see what a crappy cutting job I did.

 

And the bad luck continues...

I didn't feel well at Convention this year and have been ill off and on since I got home. We headed north a couple of weeks ago for a much needed family vacation except instead of going on all the excusions we'd planned I was too sick to get out of bed. We stopped off to see a Dr before heading home, just in case. I ended up having surgery and have been recovering in a hospital 5 hours from home. I'm hoping to get out tomorrow. Now here's the bad luck; This is the first time EVER that I've travelled without my Stampin' Up Catalogue. After 2 weeks in bed I'm really missing my catty
