In addition to an awesome holiday catologue Stampin' Up is offering some Single Holiday Stamps. One of my favorites in the collection is the Be Merry stamp. It coordinates with the Chalk Talk Framelits. And just so you know it's a bit larger than the framelit but the same shape. I used the Chalk Talk framelit to cut out the white portion on the Real Red tag and the other tag is cut out by hand. Scroll down for some tips to cut and mat there tags.
I cut the first tag out with a pair of large scissors following the outside line on the stamped image. I glued it to a piece of Island Indigo card stock and cut the hole with one of the small Chalk Talk framelits. I traced around the outer edge of the framelit with a black marker.
Since the chalk talk framelit is a bit smaller than the tag I extended the side lines of the stamped image with pencil marks to make it easier to line up the framelit. (1st & 2nd photos below)
To make a mat for the red tag I cut a piece of card stock 2.5" x 3.75", laid the tag on top and traced the opening then used the 1" circle punch to make the hole in the Real Red mat.(3rd photo below) You can leave the corners of the Real Red as they are or trim them with a pair of scissors. Make a cut down the centre of the opening so you can slide your tag onto a basket. (the 4th photo shows what the tag looks like from the back)
Lovely, Jackie...my fav is the red one... TFS!
