I still can't bring myself to pack away my retired sets. I have several that I barely had a chance to stamp with yet. Moon Lake is one of them. I was really hoping it would make it into the next catty.
I made two versions of this card. On the first one I used what I call the Never Again technique. I stamped the image and thought "wouldn't it look neat if I cut the word out and raised the card front?". After using a ton of dimentionals so the card front would have enough support it looked a little weird without the centres of the letters so I meticulously cut dimentionals to fit the cut out of the centre of each letter, manoeuvered them into place using my piercing tool and said "never again".
After giving the first version away (without taking a photo) I stamped another image in roughly the same spot as the first and attached the word I had cut out. Much simpler.
great card, Jackie....and I love the "never again" technique! I have a few of those myself and as I recall one of them involved one of the cut out words! lol! Jan
p.s. missed you at convention this year!

Very nice card and coloring, Jackie! I like this stamp set and neglected buying it b4 it was retired. :( I wanted to share with you what I do to raise up or fill in a negative space on a card. I use chipboard or fun foam. I use chipboard I have purchased or that came in packaging of something I purchased, but usually I use clean food boxes (i.e. cereal.) Otherwise, I use fun foam which at our local craft stores, come in two thicknesses. Whether you are raising up or filling in you can cut either material or in some cases, a combination of both, to achieve your desired height. Once you have the "stack" to the height you want it to be, just glue them together and add to or fill in. To attach them together I use Alene's Tacky Glue or Tombow mono, multi-purpose glue. I use Scor-Tape to attach them to the card. I sure hope I understood you and that this information makes sense and that it might be helpful. :)

Love the idea of a cut out ... would the new Whisper White Thick cardstock work to give the card front more support for the cut out word?
