Addicted to Stamping

Rosebud Valentine

Every spring I get the urge to clean and purge my house. I have no problem donating clothes, dishes and anything else I no longer use or don't have a place for. So why it always so hard to part with craft and stamping supplies? I came across these cute little rosebuds in my stash of silk roses that I probably purchased in the 80's. They were too cute to part with so I decided to use them instead. I paired them with a few other retired Stampin' Up supplies: Adorning Accents Edglits, Black Polk-a-dot Ribbon, Small Heart Punch and the Good Greetings Hostess Stamp Set from a few years ago

Butterfly Beauty

I'm in love with Stampin' Up's Butterfly Beauty Thinlets. I don't usually care for the fussy dies but I've seen so many pretty cards using these butterflies I couldn't resist.  The top layer is Basic Black card stock and the second layer is Lovely Lipstick Foil. I traced the outline of the die on the card base with a pencil and used Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens to add some colour behind the butterflies.

To make the border I scribbled a line with the Melon Mambo Watercolor Pencil and blended the colour to the outside with a Blender Pen. I added some black dots with a Black Stampin' Write Marker. I couldn't decide on a sentiment so I'll add one later.  Can't wait to play with these framelits a little more.
