I loved the instruction sheet that came with the 3D Magnolia Embossing Folder so I tried to case it. As usual my first attempt was like trying to reinvent the wheel. I rarely see the simplest way to do things so I hand cut a template to use as a mask, applied tombow adhesive around the outer edges and let it dry so it would be removable. Next I took black ink and a sponge and gently sponged around the raised edges of the flower being careful not to disrupt the mask. Turns out all I would've had to do is trace around the raised edges with a black water color pencil and blend it with a blender pen.
This is stunning, Jackie! Reminds me of the Sketchbook technique I did a few years back with a stamped image. Even if you took the 'long way around' it turned out absolutely beautiful...and you learned something taking the scenic route!!
