Posy Poppies

The Poppy Moments dies were the first product I couldn't wait to purchase from the Jan-June Mini Catalogue. I love red poppies but this die makes them look good in almost any colour. On this card the poppies are Purple Posy and Rich Razzleberry

 

Kindness is Always in Style

I always wonder how it's possible with all the stamping supplies I have to not have the perfect paper or embellishment for a project. I knew my lipstick had to be Melon Mambo but when I flipped through my stash of DSP I couldn't find a single piece that worked. This DSP was mostly pastel colours but it was busy enough that when I stamped on some Melon Mambo flowers they fit right in.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there. This is the card I made for my mother. I used some of my favorite retired products including the Roses in Winter Stamp Set. If you don't have it Stampin' Up has several 2-step stamp sets that would work just as well.

 

Gardening in Canada

If you live in Canada you're probably no stranger to using your car's heater and air conditioner on the same day but snow in May is still a shock. The view outside my craft room window today...yellow daffodils, creeping phlox and big white snowflakes. Garden centres in Ontario opened up today for the season but it seems like the perfect day to stay indoors and make paper flowers.

Lazer Cuts

I thought these Lazer Cut Cards were too pretty to use so I've been hoarding them for a while. You can use them as they are or embellish them. To add the glitter to the heart card I backed it with packing tape so the glitter would stick. If I wasn't self isolating I would have used clear mack tack but sometimes you just have to improvise.

Share Sunshine

I've been making some cards using the sentiments from Stampin' Up's Covid-19 Giveback fundraiser Share Sunshine. This digital stamp set is 12 pages of  sentiments and imagery relevant to the unique COVID-19 and social distancing situation we are currently in. You can print the sentiments and cut them out to use on your cards. I'm not sure who I'm sending this one to yet.

 

Anchors Away

This was one of the cards I had at my last card buffet. Since it only uses a couple of stamps and dies I was able to use the rest of the Sailing Home stamp set for another card.

 

Razzleberry Bunches

I needed some bold flower images to practice on while I patiently wait for my backordered Ladybug stamp set to arrive. I had some DSP scraps to use up and had this colour combo in mind. This set, Helping Me Grow retired a couple of years ago but there are several current stamps that would work just as nicely. The sentiment is from Layered with Kindness which coordinates with the Label Me Lovely Punch.

Music in My Heart

Does anyone else find they're putting more time into their cards these days? I seem to be cutting and colouring on almost every card. Don't get me wrong I still love when a card is Quick, Easy and Cute so here's my little cheat for making a card look like I put in more effort than I did; I only cut out the simple parts (like the heart on this card) and detailed items are stamped directly onto the card stock.

*After you've cut out a stamped image run the flat edge of a marker around the outer cut edge to hide the white. This works especially well with Black stamped images and a black marker.
