Gift Card Brief Case

We made some Gift Card Purses for class and someone suggested we make a male version so this is what I came up with. I used some retired DSP that didn't really appeal to me until I was looking for "man paper". Here are the instructions Download Brief Case

 

 

 

 

Gift Card Purse

A version of this little purse was one of the first projects I learned to make from Stampin' Up. I think they demoed it at Regionals the year I started.  You make a tube from DSP, fold it into a W and attach some handles. The tube creates a couple of pockets where you can slip in a card or a few treats.

 I resized this one to fit a gift card then added a flap and a flower to keep the flap closed.

    

Coffee Gift Card Holder

 

Wow. I can't believe I've been away for so long. It's been months since I've been well enough to stamp anything or post on my blog so this feels a little strange. The perfect blend stamp set is still one of my favorites so I thought that would be a good place to start.

Here's a gift card holder I came up with. The slider on the card front pulls out to reveal the gift card. My gift card happens to be from Tim Hortons (another favorite).

Fry Box Gift Card Holder

Turn your favorite Stampin' Up Fry Box into a gift card holder. I didn't have time to pretty up my Fry Box this week; my mother-in-law is camping out in my stamp room but I did get a chance to sneek in and crank out a quick sample from  DSP. Cut out one fry box plus a partial one from the same card stock or DSP.  I trimmed the partial box along the curved bottom edge, put glue on the bottom and sides and attached it to the full box. If desired you can cut a half circle out of the top. Make up your fry box and slip your gift card into the pocket.

Poinsettia Tea Bag/Gift Card Holder

This is one of my gift class projects made with Stampin' Up's Joyful Christmas stamp set and the Oval Accent Bigz Clear Die. The poinsettia insert will hold a gift card or tea bag. You can download the free instructions for this project here Download Gift Class Poinsettia 

Envelope Punch Board Gift Card Holder

I had a chance to play with some of my new goodies. I think one of my new favorite toys is going to be the envelope punch board. I made these gift card holders using the envelope punch board. When the card opens the gift card lifts out of the pocket.  Scroll down for the video tutorial  

Open Ended Envelopes

If you've had a chance to look at the new Stampin' Up catalogue you'll notice a few samples of open ended envelopes like this one. They're very simple to make and you can follow this formula to make one any size you need. It's a great way to use up that retired DSP. Multiply the with of your card by 2 and add 1-1/2". This is how wide your DSP or card stock needs to be. For an envelope with 1" flaps measure the length of your card and add 2-1/4". This is how long your DSP or card stock needs to be. Score 1" across the top and bottom as well as 1/8" on each side of the card. If this is as clear as mud I've included a video tutorial.  

Stocking Gift Card Holder

This is a quick and easy gift card holder I designed for our Christmas SAS class. I used the Petite Pocket die, the Holiday Stocking die and the Stocking Accents die (all from Stampin' Up). I love using the big shot when you have to prep over 100 cards.

To make this gift card holder cut a stocking from DSP and one stocking with toe, heel and cuff from White card stock. Cut a petite pocket from white card stock and cut it off at the scoreline. You can download the class handout  Download Stocking Gift Card Holder for instructions on how to assemble your gift card holder. Graduation Gift Card Holder

Here’s one more gift card holder in time for Graduation. I used one of Stampin’ Up’s small open end envelopes (6 ¾” x 2 ½”). You can buy cheap envelopes in this size but since the envelope is the base of your gift card holder go for quality.  Score the bottom of your envelope at 2”, fold and punch the bottom edge with the scallop border punch to hold your gift card. Cut a 4 ¼” x 3” mat for the card insert and a piece of White 4” x 2 ¾”. I used the Round Tab punch for the tab.

The cap is 3 ½” square. Here's a video on how to make the tassel. I used crochet cotton for this one but I prefer the new baker’s twine for the tassels. It hangs so much nicer.

Masculine Gift Set

I was asked to be a guest designer for U Stamp with Dawn and Friends. This is my first project made with the #2 Box die. The color combo is Chocolate Chip, Perfect Plum, Marina Mist and Sahara Sand. Stamp Sets: More Monkey Accessories and Sincere Salutations. I also used the square latice embossing folder for the inlaid embossed panels. I found the chocolate cell phone at a local chocolate factory. It fit perfectly in Stampin' Up's small cello bag. Here's the tutorial Download Masculine Gift Set
