I took hundreds of photos while I was at Leadership. Since I can't post them all on my blog I put them into a video so they would be easier to view. The video moves through the photos fairly quick so if you spot a card you like and want to look longer, just pause the video. Music would have been nice but that's way beyond my technical skills. Sorry
I made this card with some of the products from the Twitterpated Suite in the 1012 Occasions mini. The flower is a CASE from the Sale-a-bration catty and the hat pins are one of Stampin' Ups newest embellishments. If you're not a Stampin' Up demonstrator you'll have to wait until January to see all the new products but I'm sure you'll love them as much as I do.
**Tip** To attach a fabric flower like this one, punch a small circle from card stock and stitch the flower to it or use a brad to attach the flower to the circle then you can glue the card stock circle to the card without it showing on the inside of your card.
Here's another card I entered in the 2011 Artisan Award contest. You can find the written instructions and video to make the punch art gnome and flower here. The wagon is from the retiring More Monkey Accessories stamp set.
Stamps: Sincere Salutations, More Monkey Accessories
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Cajun Craze,
Here’s one more gift card holder in time for Graduation. I used one of Stampin’ Up’s small open end envelopes (6 ¾” x 2 ½”). You can buy cheap envelopes in this size but since the envelope is the base of your gift card holder go for quality. Score the bottom of your envelope at 2”, fold and punch the bottom edge with the scallop border punch to hold your gift card. Cut a 4 ¼” x 3” mat for the card insert and a piece of White 4” x 2 ¾”. I used the Round Tab punch for the tab.
The cap is 3 ½” square. Here's a video on how to make the tassel. I used crochet cotton for this one but I prefer the new baker’s twine for the tassels. It hangs so much nicer.
Here's another grad card that I made into a gift card holder using the petal card punch. For those of you who emailed me inquiring how to make the tassles for the grad caps, I've included the instructions in the first part of the video at the bottom of the post.
As promised, here's a video showing how to make the slider card I posted last week. I used a cupcake on this sample so I could enter it in the So Shelli Challenge. I got the color combo from the Color Coach; Melon Mambo, Wild Wassabi and Pacific Point. Other Stampin' Up products; Cup Cake Sizzlet, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Round Tab Punch and the Create a Cupcake stamp set. Scroll down for the how-to video.
This is a sample from my latest class Punch Art with a Twist As with the rest of the cards from this class, the Blossoms Punch is the only punch you'll need to make this card. Scroll down for the written instructions and the video tutorial.
I used a wet sponging technique to make this seaside card. It’s for the Creative Crew Challenge on SCS. The shells and fish are made with the Build a Blossom punch and stamp set. The sentiment is from You’re a Gem.The clam shell embellishment opens to reveal a pearl inside. For more details scroll down to the bottom of the post to see the video tutorial.
Here's a collection of magnetic items using the Sew Suite Product line and a variety of products from Stampin' Up's Occasion's Mini. If you want to incorporate some fabric and simple sewing into your classes this year, here's an easy place to start.
Each project is quite simple, even for beginners. I didn't have time to write out instructions so I video taped the projects as I made them and edited the video later. it's a little choppy but you'll get the idea. Scroll down below the video for the list of supplies.
